The Kalawa Housing Redevelopment Programme, a mixed-use development made up of 2,000 units, is part of the Kitui Affordable Housing Project, Under the Big Four Agenda launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking during the launch, former Prime Minister said “I was pleased officially launch the Kitui Affordable Housing project which is under the Big Four Agenda”.
The project, overseen by Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, includes houses ranging from bedsitters for starter homes to four-bedroom maisonnettes at Manyenyoni and Kalawa sites, with a price range of KES.1 million to KES. 5 million.
“This is the first ever joint venture program between the private developers, Tecnofin and Musyi Development to construct two thousand units. We have aptly named these pioneer developments Chief Kivoi Heights and Nzambani Rockview Estate as a recognition of our rich history and heritage” Governor Ngilu added.
